The Peruvian Dilemma: Environmental Conservation and Economic Development in a Context of Abundant Natural Resources
Main Article Content
Abstract
The content provided focuses on the Peruvian dilemma between environmental conservation and economic development in a context of abundant but limited natural resources (Malthus' problem). It seeks to evaluate how environmental policies can affect the economy and how economic growth can affect the environment. It also discusses the importance of finding a balance between these two objectives and the benefits that conservation and respect for the environment can cause, which in turn has a positive impact on Peru's economy. While it is true that the economy is mainly based on supply and demand actions, it can also be influenced by current environmental policies. In conclusion, the effective implementation of environmental policies requires a comprehensive approach that involves governments, companies and society as a whole to achieve optimal development.
