Abstract

In a previous publication, it was noted that aphasia includes a set of disorders that hinder communication at different linguistic levels and, secondarily, affect the identity of patients. It was also noted that the treatment it receives in Peru, Spain and Italy is very limited (Tapia, Rozas-Calderón and Sevilla-Vallejo, 2019). In other countries, it has been identified that not enough means are dedicated to the rehabilitation of neuronal damage (Murie et al., 2012) and even when aphasia is investigated, very little attention is devoted to the psychological needs of patients (Da Silva et al., 2019). The aforementioned studies collect some of the tools that are frequently used, but they do not analyse the empirical and therapeutic evidence on the quality of the tools and their efficiency in the timely diagnosis of aphasia for its appropriate rehabilitation. For this reason, this study aims to assess some of the main scales useful for diagnosis and treatment to serve as a guide to the quality and uses of the tools.
