Quality of life: preliminary analysis of pH in pre-Hispanic ceramics from Cerro Ichal, Quiruvilca district.
Main Article Content
Abstract
The absence of archaeological research related to the quality of life in the past generates the need to learn about ceramics as an indicator of quality of life. We also have the presence of the Inca Atahualpa as an actor in history who seeks answers in the oracle of Catequil. The objective of the research was to perform a pH analysis of the ceramics to determine acidity or alkalinity, which is an indicator of quality of life in the ancient inhabitants of Cerro Ichal. Regarding the materials, 30 ceramic samples were recovered in the field phase within the rock enclosures. The methodology was based on a quantitative approach, basic type, and non-experimental design. As results we have a pH of 6.20, which is determined as acidic in the ceramics. These data allow us to determine that using ceramic materials with acidic waters causes a tendency to acidosis of the body, which ends in the development of some disease.
