Crossmark Policy

The Transformational Thinking Journal is committed to maintaining the integrity, transparency, and long-term reliability of the scholarly record. As part of this commitment, the journal implements Crossmark, a service provided by Crossref, to inform readers about the current status and validity of published articles.

Crossmark enables readers to verify whether an article is the current official version and to access its complete post-publication update history.

1. Purpose of Crossmark

Crossmark is a Crossref service that provides a standardized mechanism for readers to verify the current status of scholarly publications and to identify any post-publication updates.

Its implementation strengthens confidence in scholarly communication and supports the integrity of the scientific record.

2. Information Available through Crossmark

When an article includes the Crossmark identifier, readers may access information such as:

  • current publication status;
  • publication date;
  • DOI;
  • update history;
  • corrections;
  • errata;
  • expressions of concern;
  • retractions;
  • licensing information;
  • funding information;
  • authors' ORCID identifiers, when available.

3. Post-Publication Updates

Whenever modifications are required after publication, the journal will promptly update the corresponding Crossmark record.

Updates may include:

  • errata;
  • corrections;
  • expressions of concern;
  • retractions;
  • metadata updates;
  • other relevant editorial changes.

Each update will remain permanently linked to the original article.

4. Editorial Transparency

The journal is committed to complete editorial transparency.

Accordingly:

  • no substantive changes will be made without public notification;
  • all updates will be documented;
  • readers will have access to the editorial history of each article;
  • the scholarly record will preserve the necessary version history to ensure traceability.

5. Integrity of the Scholarly Record

Crossmark complements the journal's policies on:

  • corrections;
  • retractions;
  • digital preservation;
  • publication ethics;
  • open access.

Through this service, the journal helps ensure that researchers, readers, and indexing services can always identify and access the most current and authoritative version of each published article.
