Abstract
Summary The true competitiveness and improvement of companies is achieved with improvements in productivity, which goes through developing research, the transfer of technologies to the processes of production, management and distribution of goods and services and essentially through the continuous training of resources. humans. It is, therefore, a primary task for higher education institutions and production centers to foster relationships through joint research projects, work placements for students in their entities, signing of collaboration agreements, specialized conferences, forums, seminars, among others. In this sense, it is defined as the objective of this research, to analyze the importance of the University-Enterprise link in the generation of economic development processes in the Matanzas province. It reflects on the need to establish a territorial development strategy, within which an authentic policy of training and evolution of the educational component in the most significant aspects of Business Sciences must be framed. The object of study is the Civil Engineering degree at the University of Matanzas.
